We were reminded that His death was to pay the price for our sin. And, as Jesus took His last breath and said, “It is Finished!” we remembered that no one took Jesus’ life from Him, but that He laid down His life for His people and by dying in our place He finished the work He had come to do. Plugged In - Preparing for Easter

In our passage in John 15 today we saw that Christians need to stay connected to Jesus. Our memory verse for the month helps us to understand why. Being connected to Jesus and in a relationship with God through Him is the only way to have life. If you are a follower of Jesus….if you have turned away from the sin in your life and turned to Jesus….you need to stay connected to Him to have life, just like the branches needs to stay connected to the vine in order to live.... This week & next we’ll be working through the book “The 1st Easter” to help us prepare for Easter. Make a mural/ timeline of the last week before Jesus died and came back to life, adding to it each day. The easiest way to do this might be to add a piece of paper each day!
